When this comm was announced, there were more than a few of us who immediately thought that not_alone's exceptional chronicle, A Journey With Frodo, would be perfect in helping to take us back to those very special days a decade ago when the magic began to spin in New Zealand.

I am very flattered that you have chosen to rec my 'Journey' project in the first post of this new comm. Thank you very much. As you will see from the date of Chapter 1, I've been working on this a looong time and there is still a long way to go. But it is a complete labour of love and I know I'll miss working on it when it's complete. I'm hoping to post the latest chapter very soon - just have to add a few finishing touches!!

We are all so indebted to you for what you have done and are continuing to do. The research and attention to detail -- we are forever grateful that you conceived and have executed this project. I still have a lot of catching up to do, I cannot hide that fact. Nor have I ever posted my thanks to you before.
